John Binnie Kauya is the Group Managing Director of Global Business Network group of companies. John is Head of GBN’s Management Consulting Division as well as Head of International Operations of the Group. John is the Partner of Kauya and Partners, a firm of chartered accountants/certified auditors operating in Botswana and Malawi.  

On 4^th October 1999, John co-founded Global Business Network. In February 2003, John cofounded Kauya and Partners in Botswana and later on International Centre For Strategic Leadership South Africa and Global Business Management in South Africa and Global Business Network (Proprietary) Limited in Malawi. 

From 1997 to 1999, John served as Audit Manager for KPMG Botswana. John started his audit and accountancy career in 1992 at Graham Carr and Company in Malawi (a member firm of Nexia International) where he rose to Audit Supervisor. John is the Regional Coordinator for International Christian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) for the Southern Africa region and has in the past served as Network Panel Board Chairman for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants for Botswana. John has also served as a Council member  for Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants(BICA) chairing the Technical Committee responsible for technical development in International Financial Reporting Standards, International Standards on Auditing and development of new laws and regulations in Botswana.

 John is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom. He is also the Fellow of Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) with a designation of FCA. John is the audit practising member of BICA and practises as an Audit Partner of Kauya and Partners. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Strategic Leadership(DSL) with Regent University in Virginia Beach, USA. He obtained a Masters in Business Administration(MBA) from University of Botswana in 2002. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accountancy(BCOM(Acct) from University of Malawi in 1992. 

John was the Chairman of the University Council for Lilongwe University College of Law and Professional Studies(LUCOLPS) in Lilongwe, Malawi from 2013 to 2014. John was Guest Lecturer for the MBA final year class in strategic management at the University of Botswana between 2006 and 2007.

John is the International President of International Centre for Strategic Leadership (ICSL) a Pan African leadership and training institution. ICSL is in the process of establishing Business Development Centres in Malawi, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa in collaboration with Regent University in the United States of America. Through ICSL’s partnership with Regent University, ICSL will provide vocational and entrepreneurial training to entrepreneurs of Africa with a view of inculcating practical entrepreneurial skills in the participants, thereby assist them to start and manage successful business and alleviate poverty and unemployment in their communities. This should help in fostering entrepreneurship and SME development in Africa. John is the Founder President of Eternal Excellency Church and Destiny Christian Centre, a leadership development trust in Botswana. John lives in Gaborone, Botswana with his wife and business partner Priscilla and has three children (Joy, John, Joanna).
