Lucy refers to herself as a global citizen, proudly African and of Nigerian extraction. She has 37 years of post graduation work experience as at the year 2025. She is an International Consultant in Governance, Transformational Leadership, Partnership Development and Performance Improvement. Her experience include Executive, Non Executive and Advisory roles at National, Sub regional and Continental levels, including Multilateral Agency consulting support. She has served on Boards, Think Tanks, National and Global Award Jury Panels, and Multilateral Mission Teams. She has advised entities across the Private, Public sector and Social Sector. Lucy is widely travelled, visiting more than half of Africa and four other continents multiple times while working and for pleasure.

She has worked in a State-owned Development Finance Institution (DFI), four Commercial banks in Nigeria, a global ‘Big Four’ consulting firm’s Nigerian Business Advisory Performance Improvement Practice, had a ten years’ sterling tenure as MD/CEO of a special purpose professional services firm in Nigeria that has the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) and all Deposit Banks in Nigeria, as Members and Partnership with about 1570 organisations in Nigeria and internationally. Lucy is a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) from the International Society for Performance Improvement [ISPI], where she is a Life Member and was also elected the first African International Director on its Global Board, in the 50th year of the professional network and got to represent members in 48 countries outside the US from 2012-2014. 

Lucy has a Doctoral Degree [Business Administration – Leadership and Performance] from the University of Phoenix, Arizona U.SA; an MBA [International Business] and a B.Sc [Business Administration – Financial Management], both from the Ahmadu Bellow University in Nigeria; an International Director Certification in Corporate Governance, from the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France. The CPT designation Lucy has borne from 2008 to date, is awarded by the International Society for Performance Improvement [ISPI] to individuals whose work demonstrates their ability to get results by systematically identifying and removing barriers to performance

Lucy is a multiple international honoree, which include the 2024 Modern Governance 100 Award from Diligent Corporation and the 2019 Thomas F. Gilbert Distinguished Professional Achievement Award from the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).    She has written several professional articles, book chapters and three books including her recent book titled African Leaders’ Tete-A-Tete : Navigating Entity Design and Prioritization for Systemic Outcomes. She is happily married to Dr Rotimi Gabriel Olokodana, has three adult male personalities aged between 36 and 22 as sons, and a teen step daughter. She loves traveling, meeting people across various cultures and ages, nature watch and taking long walks. Lucy has a personal scholarship for orphans that she named in memory of her late parents and has given scholarship to many boys and girls from primary to secondary school levels, over the school years 2004 to date. With her husband, they also devote themselves to mentoring several youths, men and women in career and life journeys, via connections in many African countries.
