He is a veteran in all facets of International Business Management. He is a committed academician, sector specialist in fund raising and resetting education sector and a  top business management executive. His educational accolades are PhD in Management (Pondicherry University India); PhD (Honoris causa-USA): PhD (Honoris causa-Uganda) He is  Cleared by WES (USA) for teaching in US Universities. He has founded www.worlddevelopmentfoundation.org in 1991 and also later the World Energy Forum in New York. He has travelled and worked in about 50 Countries of the world.

He has trained over 5000 MBA students. He has worked as  a faculty in the University of Bahrain, at the Bangalore University and at  the National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management of India. He was a Dean, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and now Chancellor Emeritus of foreign Universities. He also is a visiting Fellow of the University of Geneva and ASLI in Malaysia.

Due to his depth of serious involvement in the quality aspects of  academics,  he was/is a member of the regulatory/inspection teams of India’s academic sector regulators UGC, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the UGC, AICTE, the accreditation and assessment body for technical and management education, National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of the MHRD-India  and also member of Apex UGC committees that direct the funding, planning and also regulation of higher education in India. He was also a member of the general Body of the National Institute of Open Schooling. Also a member of  the panel to help devise strategy for a Central as well as a state University. Was a Project Consultant for many private Universities  in the world. He was a member of the court of a Central University.

Also in his nearly 50 years of professional career (since 1973)  he had given equal weightage  to actual hands-on managerial work, global consulting and academics. He had worked in world class companies in India including being the President/Managing Director of a Management consulting company. He also is a full member of the Association of Former United Nations Personnel in and of India.  He was a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. He had been a Director in several listed and unlisted enterprises.
